Brand New Blues

Do you ever buy something and just let it sit in your closet? You were so excited about it in the store and when you got it home, you carefully hung it up and savored the fact it was yours. But then a curious thing happens. You just never quite find a time that feels right to put it on. So it stays exactly the same as the day you brought it home. And then, as more time passes, you start to resent it, because you wonder why you ever chose it in the first place. And eventually, you either try wearing it, or toss it just to get it and the disappointment out of your head for good.

*personal tip* I think it's often a good idea to choose the thing you like second best. The thing that catches your eye with excitement might not always be what ends up being most loved. And that can be true for so many things....
